Running for a Reason: "Tough times never last, Tough people do."

I am currently training for the Rock 'n Roll Marathon in San Diego on June 1, 2003.Proceeds from this marathon go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
This is my second marathon and I am dedicating it to my father, the person who introduced me to the joy and art of running.
I would also like to awknowledge those that have passed through my life, family and friends alike. We are one big family really and you bring me joy.
This marathon is especially important to me because I have recently met a very inspirational group of people who are doing amazing work in the non-profit arena. Charity Focus is the group that brought this page, Pledge Page, as well as so many other projects that have helped non-profits raise money for charitable causes. I am running this race for many reasons, one being to raise money for Charity Focus so that they can continue all of the incredible work that they do in helping enhance the lives of people in this world, especially those in need. Not only do they help those in need but they bring inspiration and awareness to everyday people like you and me. They bring the knowledge that each and every one of us has the power to be the change in the world that we wish to see.
